Shreveport Women in Insurance Scholarship

Scholarship Description
Purpose: To provide financial assistance to a deserving student that meets the criteria and allows him/her to complete an academic career. Award value: $500 per year ($250/semester) Major: Any CBA undergraduate major Number awarded: One per year Selection Criteria: (1) Should be at least a 2nd year student; (2) must have at least a 20 composite ACT score (for entering freshmen); (3) must have a minimum 2.5 GPA on any university work completed prior to receiving the award; (4) must be enrolled in the CBA at LSUS; (5) must be of good character; (6) must show evidence of academic excellence; (7) must be interested in pursuing a career in Insurance; (8) must be pursuing one of the following majors: Accounting, Finance, General Business, Management, or Marketing. Recipient Selection: CBA Scholarship Selection Committee Retention Criteria: Must maintain the 2.5 GPA after scholarship selection Year Established: 1988 Funding Source: Shreveport Association of Insurance Women Endowment.
