Army ROTC

Scholarship Description
The Southern University Army ROTC offers 2-, 3-, and 4-year scholarships to all students who meet the basic physical standards, minimum ACT/SAT and grade point average requirements. Eligibility To receive the 4-year scholarship, students must apply in the senior year of high school; have an ACT/SAT score of 19/920 and an overall GPA of 2.5. To receive the 3- or 2-year scholarship, students must enroll in the University and register for AROTC classes as a part of the regular curriculum. Freshman students who did not receive or apply for the 4- year scholarship can apply for the 3-year scholarship in the second semester of the freshman year if they meet the basic physical standards, minimum ACT/SAT and grade point average requirements. The Award These scholarships provide tuition, educational fees, and the cost of books in the amount of $225 per semester. Additionally, a scholarship recipient is given a $150 per month subsistence allowance for up to 10 months a year after contracting or receiving the 4-year scholarship. The university provides scholarship assistance in the form of room and board to all qualified recipients of Army ROTC scholarship types.
