College Of Education

Scholarship Description
The College of Engineering awards scholarships to qualified students who major in engineering. Scholarships in the college are supported by foundations, industries, corporations, and governmental agencies. Recipients receive awards ranging from $500 - $5,000 per academic year for four years or up to eight academic semesters. Awards are renewed each semester following a review of the student’s academic performance at satisfactory levels. Recipients are selected by the College of Engineering Scholarship Committee. Qualifications Incoming Freshmen Must: Declare a major in engineering Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) Have a minimum ACT score of 21 or SAT score of 990 Have a 7-semester high school transcript; have 2 letters of recommendation Upperclassmen Must: Be enrolled full-time in an engineering program Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale Be in good standing at the University Transfer Students Must: Be enrolled full-time in an engineering program at the University for at least one semester Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale Be in good standing at the University.
