Description: BPW/Maine, through the BPW/Maine Futurama Foundation Scholarship Program is awarding (5) five ($1200) scholarships to Maine residents. They are: The Futurama Youth Scholarship in Memory of Rachel E. Lemieux
Eligibility Summary - Looking to award to:
A Maine high school senior or recent graduate who will enroll in an accredited school or college during the year.
Student in good academic standing
One who demonstrates financial need
Has a realistic goal relating to educational plans
The Futurama Career Advancement Scholarship
Eligibility Summary:
Be at least 30 years of age and a Maine resident
Needs financial assistance to improve skills or to complete education for career advancement.
Has a definiate plan to use the desired training in a practical and immediate way to improve chances for advancement, to train for a new career field, or to enter or reenter the job market.
Provide information about the specific course of study at an accredited school and be qualified as an applicant for the course
Be officially accepted into the program or course of study.
The Continuing Education Scholarship
Eligibility Summary:
Be a Maine resident who has completed (or will complete by the Spring semester) at least one year of college, or of an accredited training program requiring assistance for more than one year
Be a student in good academic standing at the educational institution or be on an approved leave of absence of not more than one year.
Needs financial assistance in order to complete educational program.
Has a definite plan to complete the educational program (whether leading to a Bachelor's or Associate's Degree or other certificate).
