Hodson Trust Star Scholarship

Scholarship Description
Hood College has a special program in conjunction with the Hodson Trust to provide a full-tuition scholarship to any veteran of military service in Afghanistan on or after October 24, 2001 or Iraq since March 19, 2003. The Hodson Trust Star Scholarship will provide full-tuition and fees plus funds for books (a total of $26,600 in 2007-08). The scholarship will be applicable to Maryland residents. Applicants must apply for appropriate federal and state financial aid by submitting the FAFSA. The Hodson Star Scholarship will meet the full fees mentioned above in conjunction with any state or federal grants for which the recipient proves to be eligible. Applicants should also note that the state of Maryland has a special scholarship through MHEC for veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq. Potential applicants should contact the Office of Financial aid, and copies of military service records will be required.
