ROTC Scholarships

Scholarship Description
Four-year ROTC scholarships are offered by the U.S. Army to selected high school seniors who desire to pursue a military career. These scholarships pay for all tuition and laboratory fees, provide a monthly allowance ($300- $350 for freshmen and sophomores, $450 for juniors, and $500 for seniors), and provide $1200 per year toward books. Applications are accepted from July 1st until December 1st of each. Three and two year scholarships are awarded to college freshmen, sophomores, and juniors, respectively, on a competitive basis. Qualified scholarship students are eligible for free room and board. Scholarships: Each scholarship pays for tuition, required educational fees, and provides a specified amount for books, supplies, and equipment. Each scholarship also includes a monthly stipend ranging from $300 to $500 (up to $5000 a year) for every year the scholarship is in effect. Four-year Scholarship Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be 17 years old before the scholarship is effective. Must have a minimum 920 SAT or composite 19 ACT score no later November of the year you apply. Must be a High school graduate or equivalent credit, G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher. Show a pattern of leadership and participate in extracurricular activities. (Students with part-time jobs will be given substitute credit.) Must be under 31 years of age on Dec 31 st of the year you expect to graduate and receive your officer's commission. Agree to accept a commission as either an Active Army, Army National Guard or US Army Reserve Officer. Meet required physical/ medical standards. Three-year Scholarship Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Must have a SAT/ACT score of 920/19 or higher. Must pass the APFT. All other requirements as listed above for the Four-year Scholarship Requirements. Two-year Scholarship Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Must pass the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) or PAE. Must have 55 or more earned credit hours and be able to graduate in two to three years. All other requirements as listed above for the Four-year Scholarship Requirements.
