- This half-tuition scholarship is awarded to selected high school seniors who have also been chosen as National Merit or National Achievement Program finalists and who have exceptionally strong academic records. To be eligible for consideration, National Merit finalists must designate Boston University as their first-choice college with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation no later than March 1.
