The Founders Award
- Scholarship Description
- Is a research award which is presented annually to a graduate student by the Women's and Gender Studies program. The research can include essays, short stories or poetry drawn from work either previously written on newly crafted. Submissions should reflect on gender in its broadest sense: roles and statuses of men and women, sexuality, the intersections of gender, race and class. Submissions should be accompanied by an explanatory letter detailing the contribution of the submission toward understanding and reflecting on gender, and why the project merits the award.
