Dr. Doyle was one of the early advocates for the use of computers in the classroom. He was committed to making Framingham State College a leader in academic technology. Dr. Doyle served the College for 34 years, beginning as an assistant professor of physics and rising to the position of full professor and chair of the department before moving to academic administration. He became Academic Vice President in 1999 and served in that role until his untimely death in 2002. The award is open to full time students with junior or senior standing and a minimum CQPA of 3.0. Applicants must submit an essay explaining how the laptop computer experience has enhanced their academic program of studies.
