Philoptochos and T. Ross Kazakis Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Description
In memory of Dr. Triantafyllos Ross Kazakis, who was a lifelong member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Norfolk, VA, and who reposed in the Lord on August 9, 1989, the Kazakis family -- in conjunction with the Philoptochos Society of the Annunciation -- established an educational endowment fund in 1990 which provides scholarship assistance to students of any age who are currently attending, or have been accepted into, a graduate studies program and who are pursuing a post-baccalaureate degree. The scholarship committee is currently inviting only students who are attending or will be attending any accredited Eastern Orthodox Seminary, and who hold a grade point average of at least a 3.0, to submit an application. The scholarship awarded will be in the amount of $2,000. It will be based primarily on merit, with some consideration given to financial need.
