Scholarship Description
Jorice Maag Local History Scholarship Amount: $800 Established by: This scholarship is funded by the Friends of the Fullerton Arboretum to encourage the study of California history with preference given to those interested in local history. History is defined as the study of topics relating to the immediate area of the campus, Orange County and the surrounding areas, or of persons and institutions in these areas engaging in activities that promote, conserve and/or exhibit such history. The scholarship may not be awarded more than twice to the same individual. Open to: This scholarship is open to full-time continuing upper division or graduate students pursuing topics related to California history. Criteria: GPA? Appropriateness of study/project ? Student and community activities ? Financial need Application Procedure: 1) Complete the SAapplication, answering all seven questions, and sign the certification; 2) Prepare a letter of interest that includes a statement of future goals; 3) Obtain a copy of all college transcripts; 4) Prepare a statement of financial need; 5) Obtain two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a CSUF faculty member; and 6) Submit application packet to Friends of Fullerton Arboretum, Fullerton Arboretum, (714) 278-3579.
