Scholarship Description
Department: Honors College Class Level: undergraduate Deadline: May 5 Amount: Up to $4,000/year to 10 college freshman Eligibility Requirements: The Robert D. Riley Scholarship Fund was established at The University of Texas at Arlington to support full-time non-Honors undergraduate students. The scholarships will be awarded and administered through the Honors College at The University of Texas at Arlington. The Honors College Scholarship Committee shall award these scholarships to students who show both academic promise and financial need. Minimum requirements: High level of academic aptitude and the ability to learn Financial need in the application essay (must also complete FAFSA) A minimum 3.0 GPA must be maintained to be eligible for scholarship renewal each semester Enrollment in a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester The student must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and legal resident of Texas The student must agree to allow the university to report to the donor on matters of academic performance, student activities, and community involvement. Recipients must send a letter to the donor annually, updating donor on his or her respective progress.
