- AMOUNT: Varies DURATION: Up to 4 academic years TYPE OF AWARD: Cash scholarship. Pays in fall & spring terms only. NUMBER AWARDED: Varies, depending on available funding RESIDENCY: Oklahoma resident students AWARDED TO: New freshmen HOW TO APPLY: Submit the Undergraduate Application for Admission/Scholarships available online at admissions.okstate.edu or in the “Applying to OSU” booklet. APPLICATION DEADLINE: February 1 if first attending OSU in the following fall term. October 15 if first attending OSU in the following spring term. FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED? Yes, as established via the Free Application for Federal Student Aid at www.fafsa.ed.gov. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Must be enrolled as full-time undergraduate students. Recipients must be underprivileged students who participated in and successfully completed the Lowe Young Scholars Program while enrolled at Bartlesville Independent School District. The primary focus will be upon students who attended Jane Phillips Elementary School in Bartlesville, OK. Recipients will be selected by the OSU Scholarship Committee, with the participation of the Bartlesville Superintendent of Public Schools, the Principal of Jane Phillips Elementary School, and one or more Lowe family representatives, but the majority of the voting committee members shall be University personnel.
