- Award Type: Graduate Study Competition Eligibility: U.S. citizens of Italian descent Class Eligibility: Both Academic Area: All Fields Description: Through its Sons of Italy Foundation (SIF) and more than 700 state and local chapters, the Order of Sons of Italy in America has awarded more than $35 million in scholarships to date. Each year, the National Leadership Grant Competition offers 10 to 13 merit-based general scholarships and one special Henry Salvatori Scholarship, ranging from $4,000 to $25,000. General scholarships in any field are for an undergraduate or graduate program. Special scholarships are also awarded to a college-bound high school senior and to students studying Italian language. Deadline: February Award: From $4,000 to $25,000. Nomination Required: No.
