The University offers undergraduate, graduate and continuing education programs of study leading to baccalaureate and master's degrees in the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Education and the School of Nursing, as well as a Doctorate in Education. Emphasis is placed on excellence in instruction, followed by service and research, in the creation of a community of scholars. With special attention to small classes, a friendly environment, and a broad liberal arts foundation, the University encourages significant student-faculty interactions. Delta State provides programs and services that promote intellectual, cultural, ethical, physical, and social development. Hamilton Child Development Scholarship
- Scholarship Description
- The Hamilton Scholarship is given by Mr. Albert G. Hamilton in honor of his parents, A.G. and Velma Shelton Hamilton. The Hamilton Scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in Family & Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Child Development at Delta State University. Two scholarships of $600 each are awarded each year. The two recipients will receive $300 at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters. The recipients will be selected by committee. Requirements: Be a freshman or a current student with a Concentration in Child Development Maintain a GPA of 2.5(C+) or greater Show active participation in FCS activities and clubs
