Baptist Student Union (BSU)

Scholarship Description
Five $2,500 financial awards and five $2,500 diversity awards will be made to qualified students prior to Labor Day. The application deadline is the third Friday in August. Awards will be applied towards educational expenses and credited to students' accounts with the University. Qualified students must have: 30 semester hours completed; A minimum 3.0 cumulative Illinois State grade point average; Be enrolled for at least 12 semester hours; Be a major in accountancy, BIS, finance, international business, management or marketing. As part of the application process, students are asked to write a 1,000 word essay about how their performance both in and outside of the classroom exemplifies the characteristics of "excellence and leadership." These awards are made available through funds provided by the Caterpillar Foundation.
