- Students in the Insitute for Urban Education (IUE) in their sophomore year or above are eligible. Preference given to a graduate from a high school from one of five Kansas City metropolitan counties (In Missouri: Cass County, Jackson County or Platte County. In Kansas: Johnson County or Wyandotte County.), had a 3.0 GPA or better their freshman year at UMKC, be an under-represented student and demonstrate financial need.
