Nevada Space Grant Consortium (NVSGC)

Scholarship Description
This scholarship is for students seeking a career in the STEM (Science, Technology, Education, Math) workforce. Applicants/awardees must be U.S. citizens (citizens of Puerto Rico, Washington D.C., Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Northern Marianas are considered U.S. citizens). Permanent residence status, green card, or student visa are not accepted. Applicants/awardees must be enrolled full-time at CSN. Applicants/awardees must be in a degree program related to science and technology. Examples of degree fields are: aeronautics, space science, engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, STEM education. Other related fields are acceptable. Applicants/awardees must have and maintain a G.P.A. of 3.0 or better. Applicants/awardees cannot receive other federal funds (including funds from other federal scholarships, traineeships, or federally funded employment) during the time/semester they are receiving an NVSGC scholarship award. Under-represented minorities (specifically Hawaiians, Filipinos, other Pacific islanders, Native Americans, African Americans, Hispanics, and women) who have interest in space-related fields are particularly encouraged to apply.
