Math/Science Educator Scholarship

Scholarship Description
The University is committed to providing support for graduate degree candidates who intend to become teachers in math and science. Graduate students who hold a teaching certificate in any subject area may take course work toward an additional certification in math and/or science and qualify for a scholarship. Those who do not hold a teaching certificate, but who are interested in pursuing certification in math and/or science, are also eligible. However, in addition to the subject area courses, the student must also complete the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program. Scholarships are available during the fall, spring, and summer terms. All applicants for admission are automatically evaluated for scholarship eligibility; the student need not complete a separate scholarship application. Scholarships are renewable throughout the duration of the student’s enrollment, provided that the student maintains a minimum grade point average of 3.00.
