The Fred C. Rummel Endowed Scholarship was established to support single mothers studying at Thomas Edison State College. The scholarship is funded through grants made by the Westfield, N.J., based Fred C. Rummel Foundation, which supports nonprofit healthcare, human service and education entities throughout New Jersey. The scholarship is awarded twice annually.

Applicants must be new or continuing students pursuing a minimum of 6 credits in an undergraduate degree program at Thomas Edison State College.
Funds received must be applied to textbooks, fees or tuition toward any credit-earning option offered at Thomas Edison State College.
