The Justice Scholarship, one of John Jay College’s most prestigious awards, was established by Princeton University in 2002 in memory of the many John Jay educated law enforcement and fire department heroes who died in the September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center.
This $2,000 annual scholarship is awarded to five entering freshmen who are committed to academic excellence and to public service. The purpose of the Justice Scholarship Program is to develop undergraduate researchers, practitioners, and scholars in the areas of public service and criminal justice.
The Justice Scholarship is renewable for up to three years as long as you maintain full-time status and a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 and provide evidence of continued commitment to community service or public service.
