Graduate Research Scholarship
- Scholarship Description
- If you are a graduate student who has completed 12 credits with a minimum GPA of 3.5, you may be eligible for a graduate research scholarship of $2,000. To apply, you must complete the John Jay Scholarship Application Form and submit a well-written, interesting 700-word essay. In your essay, you will need to describe your research project for a lay audience. Then, assess it. Please be sure that your essay responds to the following issues: Is it part of a larger project? If so, explain. What single aspect of the whole research experience do you (expect to) find most exciting? How does (or doesn’t) it further your long-term research goals or career plans? Does it have any larger significance outside of your own academic life? Explain. A letter of recommendation from your supervising faculty member is also required.
