Annual Scholarship
(New or continuing students)
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
1. Must be admitted and enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student at Coastal Carolina University;
2. Must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.5;
3. Each new or continuing recipient must have completed at least 30 credit hours with a minimum GPA of 3.5 and maintain a 3.0 for renewal;
4. Must submit a statement of 250 words or more expressing how the scholarship will assist the recipient in his or her academic career at Coastal Carolina University;
5. Must demonstrate financial need as defined by the Office of Financial Aid, but Pell grant eligibility is not required; and
6. Preference will be given to residents of Georgetown County. The scholarship award amount varies and may be up to $1,000. The award is for one year and may be renewed as long as the recipient maintains a cumulative CCU GPA of 3.0. Renewal is neither automatic nor guaranteed; a recipient must reapply for consideration. Applications will be reviewed by an Executive Committee from the Women in Philanthropy who will recommend the successful recipient to the University Scholarship Committee.
