- The William J. Murphy Scholarship for Transfer Students was created by Mark Griffis and Dave Robertson to honor Bill Murphy, whose “transfer” from his secure corporate career to pursue a small business dream inspired this scholarship, and the donors hope this transfer helps empower its recipients to enjoy a new and more meaningful life. The recipient must have been accepted into UNCW as a transfer student from a community college, and must maintain a GPA of 3.00 for award or renewal.
