Scholarship Description
Description : Created in 2001 to honor Mr. Brown's retirement as founder and director of the Youth Performing Arts School Concert Choir for 23 years. The fund provides scholarships to graduating senior members of the choir who will major in music and intend to pursue a career in vocal music. Eligibility: Graduating senior of Dupont Manual High School. Member of Youth Performing Arts School (YPAS) Concert Choir. Must have been accepted as a Music Major (either in Performance or Music education) at four-year conservatory, college or university. Must demonstate an intention to pursue a career in the field of Vocal Music. Financial need may be considered, but is not a requirement and not the primary consideration in selection.
