Scholarship Description
St. John Fisher College The Romeo Smith Undergraduate Diversity Scholarship The Romeo A. Smith Undergraduate Diversity Scholarship provides two awards: one to a full-time sophomore, junior or senior male and the other to a full-time sophomore, junior or senior female who meet the following criteria: a minimum GPA of 2.8 and active involvement with a SJFC club or organization whose program reflects a strong commitment to diversity. Each recipient will serve as student co-chairs for Fisher’s Day of Celebration Planning Committee. Additionally, the scholarship recipients must be present at Fisher’s Annual Martin Luther King Celebration Program. In paragraph form on a separate sheet of paper, please address the following topic: THE VALUE OF DIVERSITY FOR UNDERGRADUATES STUDENTS. In responding to the topic, use your both your life experiences and your involvement in diversity activities on Fisher’s campus and in the Greater Rochester community. The most successful candidates for this scholarship illustrate how, in particular, their involvement at ST. JOHN FISHER has shaped their life and the lives of Fisher’s students, faculty, and or staff.
