Freshmen Award

Scholarship Description
The Freshmen Award given to first year undergraduate student(s) who make the most progress in freshman mathematics courses1. To be eligible a student must have completed2, by the end of the 2002/03 academic year, either MAT 125/6, MAT 131/2 or MAT 141/2. Students may not apply for this award. Faculty or graduate students may nominate students for the $250 Prize by sending a short letter of nomination to Christopher Bishop. Selection of up to two winners will be made by May 15 and will be listed in the Department's Commencement Program.
