Donnie E. and Linda Vann Lassiter Education Scholarship

Scholarship Description
The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarship support for undergraduate students who have been accepted or who are enrolled at least part-time and who will be pursuing a degree in the College of Education at East Carolina University. The following criteria must be met: First preference will be given to first-generation college students from Johnston County, North Carolina. If there are no qualified candidates from Johnston County, otherwise qualified students from eastern North Carolina can be considered for the scholarship. Demonstrated financial need as determined by the Committee. At least a 2.5 minimum projected or actual GPA. The scholarship may be renewed through the recipient’s senior year upon continued availability of funds and maintenance of the scholarship eligibility criteria. Award amount is $3,125 ($1,562 per semester) and is subject to availability. Four $3,125 scholarships will be awarded for the academic year; one each for a rising Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior student.
