- Scholarship Description
- This prestigious award, a statewide competition for prospective teachers, is presented during a student's senior year of high school. The recipient receives $6,500/year from the state of North Carolina. Meredith matches the state award with $6,500 (includes N.C. Legislative Tuition Grant and other Meredith competitive scholarships) for a total award of $13,000/year. In order to apply for this scholarship, students must file the special Teaching Fellows Program Application which is available in high school guidance counselor offices. Additionally, Meredith Teaching Fellows receive a stipend to study abroad.
