Scholarship Description
This is a need-based scholarship to support a student of high moral character as substantiated by three letters of recommendation including one’s pastor, former teacher and a community leader. Further, the student must be committed to the furtherance of high standards in the teaching profession while enrolled in a teacher preparation program. The student recipient should be of junior or senior standing with an overall GPA of 3.0 or above, and provide other indicators that point to the student becoming an effective licensed teacher in the public schools. Application Process: The Department Chairperson selects the recipient from the eligible undergraduate students in agricultural economics. Amount of Scholarship: $500 per year Deadline: None Total number of recipients for each scholarship: One per year
