- Scholarship Description
- AMOUNT: $3,750 ($1,875/semester) DURATION: Up to 4 academic years (less for transfer student recipients). TYPE OF AWARD: Tuition scholarship. Waives stated amount in nonresident tuition only; does not waive fees. Recipients must pay resident tuition and any remaining nonresident tuition. Pays in fall & spring terms only. NUMBER AWARDED: Varies but limited by available funds RESIDENCY: Nonresident students AWARDED TO: New freshmen and new transfer students. Full time undergraduates. HOW TO APPLY: Submit the Undergraduate Application for Admission/Scholarships available online at admissions.okstate.edu or in the “Applying to OSU” booklet.following spring term. FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED? No ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: At least one of the applicant’s parents or grandparents must have graduated from OSU [or Oklahoma Agricultural & Mechanical College (OAMC)] before the student first attends classes at OSU; the parent or grandparent must hold a baccalaureate or higher degree from OSU or OAMC (associate’s degrees and certificates do not qualify). Freshman applicants must be admissible to OSU. Transfer student applicants with less than 24 college-level credit hours must satisfy the freshman applicant requirements and have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA (A=4.0) for all college-level coursework attempted. Transfer student applicants with 24 or more college-level credit hours must have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA (A=4.0) for all college-level coursework attempted. RENEWAL CRITERIA: Earn 28 credit hours at OSU in fall & spring semesters and maintain a 3.0 cumulative graduation/retention GPA. It does not continue renewing indefinitely even if the renewal criteria continue to be met. See offer letter, acceptance form, and Important Information sheet for more details.
