- In addition to the university academic merit-based scholarships, after completing your FAFSA you will be evaluated for further need based departmental and university scholarships and endowments. To be eligible you must complete a FAFSA, including the verification process if selected and a need-based scholarship application. These awards will be granted on your overall outstanding need. Leadership Scholarship $1,500 for one year only Selected from past leadership experiences and the essay portion of the application for admission OCULeads recipients meet weekly during freshman year May be combined with other University scholarships.
