The Roy “Hap” Mahaffey Memorial Scholarship
- Scholarship Description
- The Roy “Hap” Mahaffey Memorial Scholarship Established in 1986 by family and friends. “Hap” Mahaffey served as Chairman of the Speech and Drama Department from 1935 to 1970. Intended to recognize those students who have demonstrated outstanding talent and interest in forensic or theatre activities. Scholarship awards may be given each year to current sophomores or juniors. Scholarship funds may also be used to attract incoming Linfield freshmen or transfers from other colleges and universities who have demonstrated outstanding performance in forensics (speech and debate) or theatre.
