Scholarship Description
Award Amount:$1,000. General Scholarship Description:Scholarship for undergraduates majoring in Political Science to help low income individuals with weak academic backgrounds who have begun to show promise that they will blossom into good, perhaps even great students, thereby assisting these majors in succeeding academically through this scholarship. General Scholarship Criteria:This scholarship is available to: College Freshman / College Sophomore. UO Majors: Political science GPA requirement: No better than 3.3 high school GPA Applicants must: • have a cumulative high school GPA no better than 3.3. • be either a freshman or a sophomore, majoring in political science; freshmen and transfer students will have attended at least two terms at the university. • be enrolled at the University of Oregon when they apply and must attend the university for their sophomore or junior year to receive the scholarship. • have filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Fafsa on the web and be eligible to receive financial aid from the University of Oregon. • submit a letter of recommendation from one faculty member with whom they have worked at the university who will attest to their potential ability to achieve their academic goals.
