C. H. Burgess Scholarship

Scholarship Description
Recipient must be a junior for the semester the student is to receive the funds; have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA; be majoring in English in the College of Liberal Arts; must have completed a minimum of 12 hours in English; must have at least a 3.5 GPA in English courses; have completed the university mathematics requirements; have been a full-time student at UL Lafayette for at lest two semesters; and applications for this scholarship must include at least three letters of recommendations from previous instructors; and the scholarship selection commttee may ask for writing samples. The award pays $1,000 annually for 2 semesters; $500 for the Fall semester and $500 for the Spring semester.
