Scholarship Description
The Andrew Carnegie Scholarship, which is worth half the cost of tuition, recognizes exceptional academic/artistic talent and personal achievements without regard to your family's financial need. Each year, Andrew Carnegie Scholars enter our first-year class, enrolling in business, computer science, engineering, the fine arts, the liberal arts, information systems and the sciences. If you're selected and maintain outstanding academic performance, you'll continue to receive the award through your four years of undergraduate education at Carnegie Mellon. Winners will be notified in their letter of admission. To be considered for this award you must: Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident Apply for freshman admission by the appropriate deadline Exhibit excellence in academic and/or artistic achievement Receive exemplary recommendations from teachers and counselors Enhance your school or local community through personal involvement Demonstrate an impressive sense of personal integrity Not be a son/daughter of a Carnegie Mellon employee who is eligible for tuition remission.
