Dr. MariJean Ferguson Sociology Endowed Scholarship for Women

Scholarship Description
This scholarship was established in memory of Dr. MariJean Ferguson, former faculty member and Chair of the Department of Sociology, by her family. It is a non-renewable award that is available to a full-time female student with merit and need. Applicants must be beginning or returning to higher education to pursue an undergraduate sociology degree after having postponed attainment of that degree due to extenuating circumstances. Freshmen applicants must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0. Upper classmen applicants must have completed at least 15 credit hours and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Recipient must maintain full-time student status during the award period. Essay and recommendation letter required.
