- This scholarship was established by the Urbana University Foundation in 2005 in honor of Mr. M.L. Smith, former Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Services, upon his retirement from Urbana University. The scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in Education who demonstrates scholastic ability and/or leadership skills and/or volunteer service to his/her community.
