Athletic Scholarships(Basketball)

Scholarship Description
To honor and recognize outstanding achievement by an undergraduate student who is enrolled in the Department of Geosciences in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences and who demonstrates financial need. Consideration for this award shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled in the Geosciences Department with a major in Geosciences and shall meet the following criteria: 1. Have completed 4 semesters of study 2. Have participated in extra-curricular University activities, especially those of a cultural nature. 3. Have demonstrated academic excellence in mineralogical and related subjects 4. Have a need for financial assistance. In the event that a suitable recipient majoring in Geosciences is not available, a graduate or undergraduate student in mineralogy or related fields who meets all other criteria may be considered to be eligible. The award shall be made for one academic year and is not renewable.
