Converse College is one of only two women's colleges in the nation competing at the NCAA Division II level. Converse competes in Conference Carolinas, which was formerly known as the Carolina-Virginia Athletics Conference (CVAC).
As an NCAA Division II institution, Converse offers academic-based, need-based and athletic-based scholarships to qualified student-athletes.
This scholarship was established in 1990 as a result of a contribution to the UNC Charlotte Silver Anniversary Campaign from the Childress Klein Properties with increments of awards increasing through the years. It is now at its highest level. Scholarship recipients alternate each year between the Belk College of Business and the William States Lee College of Engineering.
Award: $3000 annually with $2750 for one semester of education abroad.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Freshman
2. The scholarship will alternate between students entering the University in the College of Business Administration and the College of Engineering.
