The compelling purpose of Presbyterian College, as a church-related college, is to develop within the framework of Christian faith the mental, physical, moral, and spiritual capacities of each student in preparation for a lifetime of personal and vocational fulfillment and responsible contribution to our democratic society and the world community.
Annual amount: Equals amount up to $32,000. Available to South Carolina resident students who are in the early awards group of the South Carolina Palmetto Fellows scholarship and have a minimum 1300 SAT V+M or 29 ACT score. Renewable with a 3.0 or better college G.P.A. and 30 hours completed each academic year. Eligible Founders recipients are mailed letters from Admissions after the November 15, 2008 deadline. Founders recipients are not awarded this scholarship until notification is received from the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education, which occurs in April, and the student returns a signed copy of the Founder's Scholarship agreement. A Founder's Scholarship package may include any federal, state and/or PC funds that the student is eligible to receive. Any entitlements for which a student qualifies (including the PCUSA Grant, Children of Alumni Grant, Minister's Dependent Grant, and/or the Pre-Ministerial Student Grant) are awarded as part of the scholarship package and not in addition to it. Students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form before March 15th to ensure funding is still available from other sources, if eligible.
