Andy Owings Music Scholarship

Scholarship Description

(New or continuing students) To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: 1. Must be admitted and enrolled full-time at Coastal Carolina University; 2. Student should have an interest in pursuing a major in music; 3. Entering freshman students must have a high school GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or entering transfer students must have completed at least 30 transferable credit hours with at least a 3.5 cumulative collegiate GPA; 4. Continuing students must have earned at least 30 credit hours at Coastal Carolina University with a 3.0 cumulative CCU GPA at the time the award is made; and 5. In-state, out-of-state, and international students are eligible to apply. The Andy Owings Music Scholarship award amount varies annually and may include expenses for tuition, fees, books, etc. This award is for one year and may be renewed as long as the recipient maintains a cumulative CCU GPA of 3.0 and completes 30 credit hours annually. Renewal is neither automatic nor guaranteed; a recipient must reapply by March 1 of each year for consideration. Applications will be reviewed and the University Scholarship Committee will select the successful recipient.

Renewal Criteria
