First-time freshmen who are South Carolina residents who present
an SAT score of at least 1,100 or an ACT score of at least 24 and a high school GPA of 3.5 or rank in the top 20 percent of their class will be considered for an annual $1,000 academic scholarship, provided funds are available. Students who are non-residents of South Carolina who present an SAT score of at least 1,150 or an ACT score of at least 25 and a high school GPA of 3.5 or rank in the top 20 percent of their class will be considered for an annual $4,000 academic scholarship. Awards will be renewed annually if students earn 30 credit hours each academic year and maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative CCU GPA with
satisfactory degree progress (full-time status). Freshman awards are made for a maximum of eight semesters. For consideration of this scholarship, the deadline for receipt of the completed Application for Undergraduate Admission and all supporting documentation for new freshmen is March 1, 2008 (including transcripts and SAT or ACT scores) or until funds are exhausted.
