Minister's Children Grant

Scholarship Description
Lipscomb University offers a minimum base grant of $5,000 to the children of full time ministers of the church of christ. This award is offered to first-time freshmen and undergraduate transfers with at least one parent whose primary paid vocation is that of a full-time minister at a church of christ congregation (self-employed minister as defined by the IRD in Publication 517 and work at least 40 hours per week.) The grant, combined with academic scholarship, may not exceed $5,000. The student may choose an earned academic in lieu of the Minister's Children Grant if the academic is higher. Students who show additional unmet financial need not met by other sources may qualify for Lipscomb need-based aid as well. This award is subject to all GPA and probation restrictions as described in the Lipscomb University Undergraduate Catalog and is available only for the customary duration of an academic program. A full load of at least 12 hours is required to receive the grant. Students are required to file a FASFA each academic year and live on campus. Please return the form by March 15 so that the discount is included in the financial aid award package.
