Scholarship Description
The Golden Eagle Excellence Scholarship is designed to promote Tennessee Tech Universityu2019s commitment to a more inclusive and diverse campus that enriches the educational experience, promotes personal growth and a healthy society, strengthens communities and the workplace, and enhances the United States economic competitiveness. This is a competitive scholarship designed to attract members of underrepresented groups who are academically gifted and those with special talents who exhibit leadership qualities and service to their community. To be considered for this scholarship, students must meet at least one of the following criteria: underrepresented ethnic population, first generation college student, resident of one of the 24 Upper Cumberland educationally underrepresented counties (Bledsoe, Campbell, Cannon, Clay, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Grundy, Jackson, Macon, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Overton, Pickett, Rhea, Scott, Sequatchie, Smith, Trousdale, Van Buren, Warren, White), underrepresented gender population specific to a major (such as men in nursing or women in engineering).
