The Eckhard Pfeiffer-Alumni Scholarships (NSMAA)

Scholarship Description
Entering freshmen and continuing undergraduate and graduate students. Scholarships for one academic year. Incoming Freshmen Applicant must be a graduating high school senior with a state core GPA of 3.0 or higher, and must meet all other admission requirements for the University of Houston College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. The recipient must enroll in, and complete, a minimum course load of twelve semester credit hours (full-time equivalent) as a major in any of the NSM disciplines, maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher during the fall semester 2008, and enroll in and complete a minimum course load of twelve semester credit hours (full-time equivalent) in the spring 2009 semester. Continuing Undergraduates Applicant must be an undergraduate student in good standing at the University of Houston, must be a major in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher over all in science/mathematics courses taken at UH, and must have twenty-four or more semester credit hours remaining in the degree program at the time of the scholarship award. The recipient must enroll in, and complete, a minimum course load of twelve semester credit hours (full-time equivalent) in the fall 2008 and spring 2009 semesters. Graduate Students Applicant must be a graduate student in good standing at the University of Houston, must be a major in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher over all in science/mathematics courses taken at UH, and must have eighteen or more semester credit hours remaining in the degree program at the time of the scholarship award. The recipient must enroll in, and complete, a minimum course load of nine semester credit hours (full-time equivalent) in the fall 2008 and spring 2009 semesters.
