Major/Degree Required: Mechanical Engineering Overall/Major GPA Required: Minimum 3.0 GPA or the equivalent to a "B" average Class Level Requirements: Initial award open only to incoming freshman Class Load Requirements: Full-time Mechanical Engineering student SAT/ACT Score Requirements: Other Requirements: The intent of "Presidential Scholarships" is to provide a significant financial award to incoming freshmen who have just graduated from high school. Recipients must be persons of high moral character and considered good citizens by their high school and university administrators. University scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis with considerble emphasis placed on extracurricular activities and outstanding academic achievement based on the following criteria: a) Class ranking and GPA, b) SAT test scores, c) High school transcripts and d) Academic awards and honors.
