Scholarship Description
Major/Degree Required: All engineering majors with preference given to students majoring in Mechanical Engineering Overall/Major GPA Required: Must maintain at least an overall 3.5 GPA for continuation of scholarship. Class Level Requirements: Open to all undergraduate students. Preference will be given to incoming freshmen. Entering freshmen must be in the top 5% of their graduating class and meet the current entrance examination qualifications required for scholarship evaluation by the College of Engineering. Class Load Requirements: Full time student carrying minimum credit hour requirement for major. Exceptions may be made for last semester students who may not need to be full-time to complete the requirements for graduation. SAT/ACT Score Requirements: Other Requirements: Student should submit a short essay to the College of Engineering Scholarship office outlining their interest in the engineering field and listing their involvement in high school, community, and church service activities, along with one letter of recommendation from a high school counselor or teacher and one letter from a mentor or church administrator.
