Scholarship Description
Established by friends to honor the Walkers for their many years of dedication and devotion to education and Northeast Louisiana University, where Dr. Walker served as president from 1958 to 1976. Major / Specialty: Art College / Academic Division: Arts and Sciences Eligibility Criterion: 1. Recipient(s) must have demonstrated superior talent at the high-school level in art, creative writing, dance, drama, music, or public speaking, and must be pursuing a degree in one of these areas or practice the talent at ULM. 2. Recipient(s) must be a beginning freshman; consideration for continuation of the scholarship requires a 3.0 GPA in the major field of study. 3. Recipient(s) must demonstrate integrity and high moral character. Selection: Selections of recipient(s) will be recommended according to individual selection criteria with final selections made through the ULM Scholarship Committee. Award: The award varies based upon the scholarship criteria and the spending policy of the ULM Foundation. The specific award amount can be obtained through the scholarship contact.
