Scholarship Description
Amount: $1,500 Deadline: February 1, 2008 This scholarship was established to provide encouragement and assistance to students who have demonstrated a strong personal commitment to creating a more just, accepting society through volunteer work, activism, political/community participation, and/or other means. Offered to new or currently enrolled gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender students AND/OR students of color with at least sophomore standing attending full time. Requirements Letter of application, not to exceed two pages, detailing your qualifications for this scholarship and how you plan to use your Evergreen education to improve your community/society. One or two letters of recommendation written within the past year from individuals familiar with your demonstrated commitment to encouraging understanding and acceptance in our society.
